What's the Difference between Microsuction and Irrigation?

A common question I get asked is what are the main differences between the treatment and which is best to choose and or which is "best"

Microsuction

Microsuction is a safe and efficient method used to removed ear wax from the ear canal. It involves using a small, gentle suction device to vacuum out the ear wax.

This method is preferred by some as it is less "messy" and does not introduce water to the ear canal, It is the safest way to remove ear wax from people that have had previous ENT surgery and or diagnosiss, perforated ear drums, suspected and or prone to

ear infections and or have reoccurring ear infections

Irrigation ( Syringing )

This is again a safe and commonly used method for ear wax removal. It involves using some warm water that is ran through the ear with an irrigation machine where the pressure and amount of water is controlled by the user.

It is a quick safe and less expensive method of ear wax removal.

This method is great for people with little to no ENT and or ear history such as previous perforations and or ENT surgeries, vertigo or Tinnitus.
